The courtroom was quickley filling up with the people of Maycolb county, for the Tom Robinson rape case. Atticus has a very tough trial ahead of him. The case was a simple one, black against white. The odds were very much against Atticus and Tom because of his color. The jury of Maycolb didn't want to be the first jury to let a black man accused of rape go free. The case was as simple as black and white.
